Company’s philosophy is identity of company and it explains why the company exists. Asian Identity has been seen that widely known big companies with success have strong company philosophy and employees behave according to it.
Toyota Tsusho Nexty Electronics (Thailand) Co., LTD. is one of Toyota Tsusho group which handles software development, device sales, content development and distribution business. One interesting project we provided for them is “EB Video Project”. “EB” stands for “Expected Behavior”. Toyota Tsusho Nexty Electronics has been focusing on people development and has a strong belief that encouraging expected behaviors is important as well as encouraging better performance. To explain its’ expected behaviors, it holds many medium. But to provide a clear picture of expected behaviors and sink them in deeper to employees’ behaviors, Toyota Tsusho Nexty Electronics and Asian Identity came together and collaborated to create a video.
Together we started defining key words (essential expected behaviors), selected and interviewed representative employees; each representing one expected behavior. These employees included both Thai and Japanese and all came from variety of departments. We chose this diverse members, so no matter in which department and which position the viewers (employees) belong to, they can connect themselves with the speakers and encourage themselves to adapt the expected behaviors. In the video, speakers shared how the appointed expected behavior means to them, how they adapt it to work, and advice for viewers.
These speakers are meant to be good examples of expected behaviors. In other word, viewers do not have to copy everything and be exactly like them. But by understanding specific image of each expected behaviors, they can understand the definitions better and able to adapt expected behaviors to their workplace. Other side effect we aimed is to enable employees to find their role models in company. Without a doubt, having people in office whom we look up to and be motivated like “I want to be like him/her!” encourages us to go to work with positive energy.
There are many ways to communicate with employees to achieve better, but we believe in its importance and we are pleasure to support its’ process.
