Communication for Team Collaboration Workshop
Effective communication is one of the most crucial elements of successful teamwork. When team members are able to clearly express their thoughts and needs—and truly listen to one another—it helps the team work more smoothly, reduces misunderstandings, and fosters stronger relationships across the organization.
On March 11, 2025, Asian Identity had the pleasure of facilitating a customized workshop for Cook Medical Thailand, a local branch of Cook Medical, a U.S.-based company renowned for its innovation in medical device development. Operating in Thailand, Cook Medical is committed to delivering high-quality medical equipment and supporting healthcare professionals across a wide range of specialties.
This session was held under the theme “Communication for Team Collaboration” with the goal of helping participants gain greater awareness of how their personal communication styles impact teamwork. The workshop introduced practical communication tools and techniques to support more effective collaboration—emphasizing the importance of seeing from the receiver’s perspective and offering constructive, actionable feedback.

Activity: Drawing Game
One of the key highlights was the topic of “What Causes Miscommunication?” Through a fun and insightful Drawing Game, participants paired up and described images for their partners to draw—without revealing the original visuals. This exercise sparked lively reflection on the clarity of their communication and opened up discussions on how to improve the precision and empathy when conveying the messages to others.
Another key segment introduced the concept of “4 Negative Behaviors” that could unintentionally disrupt communication and teamwork. Many of these behaviors are common in daily work interactions and may occur unconsciously. By identifying and reflecting on these behaviors, participants were able to explore strategies for minimizing their impact—creating space for more constructive and collaborative team dynamics.
The final segment of the session—focused on giving and receiving feedback—was a particular favourite among participants. This module explored the different types of feedback and its purposes (both positive and negative feedback), offered practical methods for delivering feedback effectively, and encouraged the mindset that “Feedback is a gift.” Participants wrapped up the workshop by exchanging thoughtful messages through “I Like / I Wish” cards—a creative activity that helped reinforce a culture of appreciation and continuous improvement.
Voices from the Participants:
“I especially enjoyed the session on feedback. In our team, we don’t often have the opportunity to give or receive feedback. This helped us recognize our strengths and see areas we can improve.”
“What we learned today can be applied directly to how we work as a team—and even in our personal lives.”
“The activities and materials prepared by the team made the workshop fun and engaging—not boring at all!”
“The facilitator brought a great depth of knowledge and was generous in sharing practical insights with the group.”
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Cook Medical Thailand for the trust and collaboration in making this workshop a success. We hope the insights gained from this session will support more effective communication and stronger team performance. At Asian Identity, we truly believe that Cook Medical’s commitment to developing its people and fostering a culture of collaboration will continue to drive meaningful growth—for both individuals and the organization.
