At the beginning of this year (2022), Asian Identity has started implementing the newly brushed-up HR system. From the voices of our employees, we pinpointed the difficulties and unclear processes in the old system (Evaluation, Grading, & Rewarding) and make revisions for improvement based on the feedback received.
Mainly, we have made the systems more:
- Structured: Ensure clear and logical linkage between each step and process
- Transparent: Communicate and share the information on the objectives and how the system works to all employees
- Visible: Create clearer visualization of the expectations and career path for each job position
- Flexible: Each member is able to set targets and design action plans that fit with the nature of their work.
Among all the changes made, the most exciting or the highlight of our new system is how we name each job grade. Instead of calling the job grades by numbers, we named it according to the characters in Ramakien/Ramayana, one of the largest ancient epic well-known in Southeast Asia.
Not only does it help to create a story for each job grade, making it fun and engaging for everyone, it also strengthen our identity as a firm that values Asians’ identity.
Through this new HR system with the unique element of Asia, we will continue to develop our company and people to greater heights.
