On May 16, 2025, Asian Identity Co., Ltd. was featured as a key speaker in the seminar titled “Why Do Thai People Choose to Work with Japanese Companies? – Part 3,” organized by Mediator Co., Ltd. in collaboration with Asahi Kasei Plastics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (APT).
The hybrid event, held both in-person and online, was conducted in Thai and Japanese, drawing participation from business leaders, HR professionals, and cross-cultural management practitioners.
The seminar focused on organizational culture transformation in Japanese companies operating in Thailand, spotlighting APT’s recent initiatives. Renowned for its production of engineering plastics, APT has played a vital role in supporting Thailand’s manufacturing sector—particularly in the automotive and motorcycle industries. More recently, the company has expanded into the electric vehicle and renewable energy sectors.
Mr. Katsuhiro Nakamura, CEO of Asian Identity, delivered a session on aligning organizational culture with local expectations. He emphasized the need to co-create company values with Thai employees in order to foster engagement, build trust, and reduce turnover. APT’s development of **six core beliefs—led and defined by Thai staff—**was showcased as a successful example of bottom-up cultural transformation and long-term operational stability.
The event also featured Mr. Naoki Koike, Managing Director of APT, and Mr. Somchoke Salaipet, ADM & SHE Senior Department Manager, who discussed their practical experience in leading internal cultural change, and its impact on employee retention and performance.
This seminar was the third installment in an ongoing series exploring how Thai employees engage with Japanese organizations. The series builds upon the positive response to the October 2023 ArayZ magazine feature. The collaboration between Asian Identity and APT provided valuable insights for companies seeking to build stronger, more inclusive organizational cultures in a cross-cultural context.
