E&H Philosophy & Leadership Development

14 Jul.2025

“Corporate Philosophy” is the key factor in helping an organization grow.

E&H Precision (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as E&H) is a company that manufactures and sell precision metal-cutting parts for a wide range of applications, including automobiles (such as car audio systems), motorcycles, office automation equipment, home appliances, and toys. E&H places great emphasis on developing its employees’ potential and creating a strong working culture based on the company’s philosophy and culture, known as the ‘Mindset.’

It was an honor for the Asian Identity team to organize two workshops to lay the foundation for working together within the company based on corporate philosophy and develop new talents, under the project titled “E&H Philosophy & Leadership Development.” The participants were divided into four groups: two groups of staff and two groups of supervisors.

In the workshop, participants learned about the importance of the company’s philosophy, which guides management practices, work operations, collaboration, and the delivery of products to customers and society. The activities provided an opportunity for participants to share ideas and discuss case studies from large companies, followed by a detailed review of E&H’s philosophy and culture. They also discussed how to connect the company’s culture with everyday work, focusing on strengths and areas for improvement in the “Mindset” aspect of the philosophy. This helped participants see the connection between the philosophy and their roles, strengthening their sense of connection to the company.

Another important aspect of the workshop was to help participants understand the “cultural differences between Thailand and Japan” in terms of thinking, communication, and work styles. This was achieved through activities reflecting different work habits and methods, based on “The Culture Map” by Erin Meyer. The activities helped participants understand how to work better with others, improving teamwork. Participants also learned Feedforward skills, which help give constructive feedback for better collaboration and performance, whether as leaders or team members.

The next step in this project is to create “leaders” who follow the company’s philosophy and mindset through the “Identity Leadership Journey Workshop,” which lasts for two days.

The focus was on helping supervisors understand the role of a leader who can pass the company’s philosophy and mindset to their subordinates while also guiding and developing their teams effectively.

On the first day, participants worked on ‘self-awareness’ by taking psychological tests to understand their interpersonal relationship styles. They also had discussions and exchanged experiences to better understand themselves from different perspectives. This helped reflect on their identity, values, beliefs, strengths, and areas for development, which led to creating an “Identity” — a foundation for decision-making and leadership in their own way.

On the second day, participants built on what they learned from day one and learned how to drive teams using the “Synergy” concept, blending their personal identity with leading their teams to overcome challenges and achieve shared goals and commitments. The workshop ended with setting a “Vision” — a 3-year goal for being a leader who will drive change and lead the team to success with their unique leadership style (Identity Leadership).

After the workshop, the company philosophy didn’t end there but was shared and spread throughout the company, with the help of the HR department and participants. For example, the philosophy was explained during new employee orientations, shared across all levels, from staff to supervisors, and communicated through activities like a 15-min session where HR explain about corporate philosophy in the morning called ‘Otoshikomi’, an explanatory video, a board displaying the workshop outcomes, and posters and pamphlets in the canteen. These activities aimed to ensure that everyone in the company could better connect with the philosophy and learn how to apply it in their daily work.

These actions show E&H Precision (Thailand) Co., Ltd.’s genuine commitment to creating a strong company culture, where everyone understands their role, respects differences, and grows into leaders with their own identity, while staying connected to the company’s culture, philosophy, and mindset.
